Meet Dr. Janki Dalal
Throughout my clinical journey, it became evident that many people, including myself, have been made to feel shame regarding our mind and body-- Especially those of us from marginalized communities. We learn to stop trusting ourselves, preventing true healing.

It is my passion to provide exceptional care that actively challenges shame, is trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive. My specialties are mental and menstrual health, along with other associated concerns such as insomnia, chronic pain, fatigue, PCOS, thyroid disease, IBS, and more. Currently, I see private patients in-person and virtually through Cactus Flower Healing in sunny Mesa, Arizona. I also teach trauma-informed mental health related courses to future naturopathic physicians.

I received my medical training from Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, AZ, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from University of South Carolina. I received additional training in adolescent mental health, as well as guest lectured on mindfulness techniques for adolescents and youth suicide prevention.

My Story
Conventional medicine saved my life, but naturopathic medicine helped me heal.
Growing up as a SouthAsian woman, in a household and community where mental health and menstrual concerns were viewed as taboo. I was often told "there's nothing wrong with you, you look fine", depression isn't real, and period pain was "normal". This resulted in me feeling incredibly out of touch with my body. Years of ignoring my body's signals eventually caught up with me when I found myself waking up in the emergency room multiple times from the development of chronic pain, ovarian cysts, and panic attacks.

After the fourth ER visit, I knew could not go on like this. My sister introduced me to Naturopathic Medicine and I immediately booked an appointment with a naturopathic physician. At my very first visit, my concerns were validated, my doctor took the time to get to the root cause of my ailments, and she educated me on what was going on with my body. This was when my true healing began. Conventional medicine saved my life, but naturopathic medicine helped start my healing.
I wish I had a healthcare provider sooner in life for what I was dealing with. While I love supporting folks at any stage of life, I mainly focus on supporting our adolescents/youth and young adults.
